Business development assistant

As a specialist water-focused consultancy, we build and test scale models to help us explore developments on the coastal and marine environments and our facilities are some of the largest in the world. To support this work, we develop specialist equipment, software and instrumentation for our engineers and scientists, and we also supply these to other facilities around the globe.

Join our Equipment, Technology and Innovation group – a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers – and help us to deliver our class-leading portfolio to international clients.

About the role

As Business Development Assistant you will provide administrative and project support services to our equipment sales team. You will manage orders, and help us to identify leads and opportunities across our product range. You will work closely with the team to understand our target markets and complete tender submissions.

We are proud of our reputation for quality, and we’ll expect you to work to our high standards. Good communication skills are essential as you will work directly with our suppliers and clients.

About you

We are looking for someone who is: 

  • Organised: with good administrative skills, to keep track of order and tender deadlines.
  • A great communicator: confident over the phone as you will directly deal with our suppliers and clients.
  • Flexible: you will be able to respond positively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Computer proficient: good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
