We have vacancies for industrial trainees for one year starting in July 2012. The positions would suit undergraduate students whose course includes a sandwich year in industry, e.g. those able to take a year in industry between the second and third years of their undergraduate course. The main duties will involve running physical and computer models, data processing and analysing results to enable them to be presented to clients.

Candidates should be sharp, numerate and articulate, and should have considerable personal drive. Those studying civil or coastal engineering, or a numerate science, are especially welcome to apply. Familiarity with the use of spreadsheets and word processing packages is essential, and knowledge of a computer language would be useful.

Salary: circa £17,200 per annum.
