HR Wallingford is coordinating FLOODrisk2012, 2nd European conference on flood risk management. The conference will take place from 20 to 22 November 2012 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

It will bring together policy makers, researchers and practitioners from across the world to share experience and progress in flood risk research, policy and management practice.

There will be sessions on progress made, lessons learned and best practice. Policy makers, scientists and practitioners will share how recent floods in Europe, the USA, Australia and Japan influence discussions in the political, management and scientific arena and how these experiences might lead to new or common approaches towards flood risk management.

FLOODrisk2012 will include contributions from a variety of national, European and international flood related initiatives.
