Internal Communications and Engagement Manager

Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 dependant on experience

Due to our ongoing growth plans, we are recruiting for an Internal Communications and Engagement Manager to guide the evolution and transformation of our approach to internal communications. 

The Internal Communications and Engagement Manager will work in collaboration with our Personnel, MarComms and Executive teams to support communication and engagement activities that help drive change, leading company-wide engagement by openly delivering the company’s wider strategy and goals and how these translate into success and opportunities across the business.

Key Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, marketing, public relations etc.) or equivalent
  • Professional qualification and/or membership e.g., CIM, IoIC, CIPR or equivalent gained through professional experience.
  • Proven experience of planning and developing internal communication and engagement strategies, preferably gained in a SME organisation undergoing change.
  • Experience and evidence of planning, implementing and evaluating international communications plans that facilitate staff engagement and cultural change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate with credibility and influence.
  • Experience of using digital platforms, including content management systems.
  • Experience of internal communications in an innovation-led or scientific/engineer focussed business would be beneficial.
