What do you enjoy most about working at HR Wallingford?
I value the variety of projects and people we work with. If you are open to challenges, you can get involved in very exciting opportunities. My recent projects have ranged from improving flood risk asset management in the UK to assessing sedimentation problems in a reservoir in Tajikistan (one of the largest reservoir in the world!) and delivering a drought monitoring system in Ecuador. I travelled to interesting places and meet people from all over the world. And I work with amazing colleagues and learn a great deal from them.
What led you to join HR Wallingford, and how has your experience developed over the years?
I joined HR Wallingford many years ago (almost 20!) thanks to a friend who drew my attention to the opportunity. It was a great and exciting challenge involving a move to a new company and a new country.
I never regretted this decision. My work has always been rewarding, providing great opportunities to learn new technical skills and broaden my experience.
What sports do you enjoy ?
I enjoy all sorts of sports such as walking, climbing and,… basketball. I’ve been playing basketball since I was 14. I now play in a masters team and I have to recognise that going out for dinner with my team mates is as important as playing on the court!
